As a Host/Hostess at Villa Restaurant Group, you will be the first point of contact for our Guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they enter the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:- Guest Greeting: Warmly welcome Guests as they arrive, extending a friendly and hospitable greeting. Escort them to their tables and provide menus.
- Reservations: Manage reservations efficiently, including recording guest information, seating arrangements, and special requests. Maintain an organized reservation system.
- Waitlist Management: Keep track of the waitlist during peak dining hours, provide estimated wait times, and inform guests when their tables are ready.
- Communication: Liaise between Guests and restaurant Team Members, ensuring a smooth flow of service and addressing Guest inquiries or concerns.
- Seating Assignments: Assign tables to Guests in a fair and organized manner, optimizing table turnover and seating efficiency.
- Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's menu items, daily specials, and any allergen information to assist Guests with menu choices.
- Cleanliness: Ensure that the host/hostess stand and waiting areas are clean and organized at all times. Maintain a tidy and welcoming environment.
- Cooperation: Collaborate with restaurant servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and ensure a seamless dining experience for Guests.
- Guest Farewell: Thank Guests for dining with us as they depart and inquire about their experience. Provide feedback to management as needed.
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent Guest Service and communication skills, with a welcoming and courteous demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments efficiently.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy dining hours.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to assist Guests and Team Members.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
