Position Overview
The Lead Educator at Young Hearts Preschool will report directly to the School Director.

This role entails overseeing all students assigned, focusing on educational delivery, supervision, assessment, and communication with parents.

Furthermore, the Lead Educator will engage in training and mentoring fellow educators at Young Hearts.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Implement quality assurance protocols to uphold the excellence of program offerings, operations, and compliance with state regulations.
2. Strive to achieve and maintain NAEYC accreditation.
3. Maintain consistent communication with the School Director, Assistant Director, and parents of enrolled students.
4. Report incidents to the School Director as necessary.
5. Collaborate to ensure a safe learning environment.
6. Adhere to the policies, procedures, and initiatives of Great Hearts/Young Hearts.
7. Attend monthly staff meetings.
8. Utilize The Creative Curriculum and Gold Strategies for lesson execution and assessments.
9. Conduct parent-teacher conferences biannually.
10. Foster and sustain relationships with students, parents, and school administration.
11. Provide mentorship to assistant and lead teachers.
12. Guide others in curriculum implementation and classroom management.
13. Delegate responsibilities to other educators to facilitate their professional growth.
14. Supervise additional teachers in training within the classroom.
15. Communicate the progress of teacher training to the School Director.
16. Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths

Education:
CDA, Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in a licensed preschool setting.

10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Additional Requirements
1. Must be at least 18 years old.
2. Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card.
3. Must have a negative TB test.
4. Must meet the qualifications of a Lead Teacher as per Arizona Department of Health Services regulations.
5. CPR/First Aid certification is required upon hire.

Physical Functions:
This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, sitting, repetitive hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May involve moving or positioning equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Travel Requirements:
Local travel may be necessary to attend meetings or other Great Hearts locations in Arizona.
