Production Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at D&W Fine Pack. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising and coaching a team of up to 20 employees in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and assign work to ensure efficient production operations
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment
  • Lead and facilitate shift overlap meetings to ensure seamless operations
  • Conduct training on safety, process, quality, and company policies
  • Review and track production data, including production results, downtime, scrap, and staffing
  • Manage incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Identify and address problems in the production process
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Create a positive work environment by fostering open communication and idea exchange
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and 5 years' experience in a leadership or supervisor position in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience as a Production Supervisor is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of plastics industry processes and equipment, specifically extrusion and thermoforming
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with timekeeping systems and MS Office
