Job Overview

Ascent Industries Co is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blending/Mixing/Dispersion Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our blending/mixing/dispersion processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of team leaders and operators to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Assist the Production Manager as needed and provide support in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Participate in incident investigations and contribute to the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Execute daily production plans, prioritize tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of production goals.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of customer product lines and ensure accurate raw material requirements, staging, and inventory management.
  • Interact directly with customers to plan, update, and resolve production-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental rules, laws, and regulations.
  • Conduct annual reviews for staff performance and provide training and certification for employees in all production areas.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10 years' experience in chemical production or a related field or degreed equivalent.
  • Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of organizational workflow.
  • Ability to generate and submit reports on performance and progress.
  • Proficiency with computers and software, such as Microsoft Office and RMP systems.
  • Strong coaching and training skills to onboard new employees and train employees on all tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a PSM manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PLC and/or DCS controls.
  • Direct knowledge of specific manufacturing processes.
