About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented R&D Engineering Intern to join our team at Medtronic. As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the development of innovative medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and analyze research and product development projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex engineering problems
  • Develop and implement testing methods and equipment
  • Contribute to the development of new product ideas and concepts
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Anticipated graduation date of Winter 2025, Spring 2026, Winter 2026, or Spring 2027
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
  • Ability to participate full-time (40 hours/week) as part of our intern cohort
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA
  • Flexibility in geographic location
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: C, C++, C#/.NET, SQL, Java, Python, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visual Studio, CAD: SolidWorks/Autocad or equivalent, Minitab, MATLAB, Ardyubi/Raspberry Pi, LabVIEW
  • Prior work on projects in a team environment
  • Relevant academic project, internship, or lab experience
  • Technical writing skills
  • Experience with statistics, data analysis, or mechanical or electrical design
