Merchandising Team Lead

Job Summary:
The Merchandising Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the sales floor and ensuring that merchandise is properly displayed and maintained. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the sales floor and ensure that merchandise is properly displayed and maintained
- Assist with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility
- Provide guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology
- Assist with purchasing decisions and locate merchandise
- Resolve member issues and concerns and promote the company's products and services
- Assist management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility
- Assign duties to associates, communicate goals and feedback, train associates on processes and procedures
- Provide direction and guidance to associates on member service approaches and techniques
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support the Open Door Policy and participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates
- Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors throughout the facility
- Organize and maintain the sales floor by utilizing equipment, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation
- Maintain safety of facility according to company policies and procedures
- Ensure maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards are followed
- Oversee the picking and staging of club pick up orders throughout the day
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs
- Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Lead and participate in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 6 months retail experience and 6 months customer service experience
- Leading a team and supervising experience to include hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others
