Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandising Lead to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading a team of sales floor associates, and ensuring the sales floor is well-organized and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide member service by acknowledging customers and identifying their needs, providing guidance and support on self-service technology, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Lead a team of sales floor associates, assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques.
  • Assist management with supervising associates, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors, organizes and maintains the sales floor, and completes paperwork and logs according to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps, following procedures for forklift spotting and handling, and disposing of hazardous materials.
  • Ensures maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation, including handling claims and returns, zoning the area, stocking and arranging merchandise, and setting up and cleaning product displays.
  • Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Develops and implements processes and practices to meet business needs, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Demonstrates and promotes compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Leads and participates in teams, using and sharing resources, information, and tools, and determining customer needs and business priorities.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months retail experience and 6 months customer service experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include leading a team, supervising experience, and mentoring and developing others.
