Our Mission:

We strive to provide academic counseling and advising, as well as learning specialist support, to our students as a first point of contact.

Our Academic Advisor provides support for academic challenges, remediation needs, and professionalism lapses, connecting students with tutoring, personal counseling, and wellness services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in early identification of students exhibiting signs of academic difficulty.
  • Develop individualized study and remediation plans, including timelines.
  • Meet with students with academic challenges and provide referrals to relevant services.
  • Assist with training and development of peer student tutors.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on comprehensive plans for teaching students effective study strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic and/or career counseling in a higher education setting.
