Job Overview

Position Summary

The Bilingual Healthcare Scheduler will oversee both incoming and outgoing tasks within our Call Center environment. Key responsibilities encompass call handling, appointment scheduling, authorization management, responding to inquiries, clinic-based scheduling, and various administrative duties. You will provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, including participants, families, partners, and clinic team members, while ensuring precise documentation and record maintenance.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications, efficiently screening, transferring, resolving, and concluding calls in accordance with all procedural and documentation standards.
  • Review, process, schedule, and authorize requests following departmental protocols.
  • Guarantee timely and accurate documentation of all updates, interactions, and communications in designated systems as specified by departmental guidelines.
  • Effectively coordinate the scheduling of participant appointments, addressing conflicts or urgent needs, communicating with all relevant parties (staff, family, providers, etc.), and adhering to appointment turnaround times as outlined in the Appointment Scheduling Protocol.
  • Provide eligibility status and benefit information for participants.
  • Respond to both participant and provider inquiries (including authorization status and requirements) and escalate issues as necessary if unable to resolve.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual in English with a preference for Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, and Russian, but open to other languages.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a call center setting where a service/support role was primarily performed.
  • Flexibility with work hours is essential.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
