Senior Water Wastewater Pipeline Design Leader

Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Water Wastewater Pipeline Design Leader to join our Resilience Water Team in Tampa or Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience in planning, design, and/or construction of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater linear assets. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to support one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and support to our team of highly skilled engineers while executing projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and manage project delivery and assist with the pursuit of municipal water/wastewater pipeline projects to build and grow our conveyance practice across Florida.
  • Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for water, wastewater, and storm system assets, including pipelines and pump/lift stations.
  • Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs and provide solutions.
  • Prepare complete construction packages, including all deliverables, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of W/WW systems for clients.
  • Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior-level engineers and design/drafting technical staff.
  • Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 10 years of Water/Wastewater experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Florida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Key Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent technical engineering and project/task management skills in the water/wastewater practice area.
  • Project experience including design and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, stormwater systems, and pump/lift stations.
  • Project experience with pipeline and pump station design projects.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Client relationship skills, including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client.
