Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the university's financial systems, including the general ledger and Sage Intacct ERP.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Supervise and develop the finance and accounting team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Expertise in GAAP accounting standards and technical accounting.
  • Leadership and management experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and/or Salesforce, particularly with implementations and integrations.
  • Knowledge of financial management software and systems.
