The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive pre, peri, and post-operative care to orthopedic surgical patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a surgical team.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement treatment plans to address clinical issues and improve patient outcomes
- Perform a range of procedures, including cast and splinting, and assist with surgeries as needed
- Conduct detailed history and physical exams, and provide consultations and progress notes
- Admit patients, place orders, and discharge patients as necessary
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and write orders as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
- Current PA licensure and certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- 1-3 years of surgery experience or completion of a PA surgical residency program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
$150,000 annual salary, $10,000 sign-on bonus, and wRVU incentive bonus
