Job Title: Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in various Legacy outpatient locations. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for greeting patients, performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and updating patient information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and store specimens according to established procedures
  • Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously
  • Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required
  • Ensure all test requisitions or computer labels are correct
  • Packaging specimens for transport, storing specimens at the required temperature, and complying with OSHA and DEP regulations
Requirements:
  • Phlebotomy skills and experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to float to different LabCorp locations
