We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in various Legacy outpatient locations. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for greeting patients, performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and updating patient information.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures
- Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously
- Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required
- Ensure all test requisitions or computer labels are correct
- Packaging specimens for transport, storing specimens at the required temperature, and complying with OSHA and DEP regulations
- Phlebotomy skills and experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to float to different LabCorp locations
