The role of a BARISTA involves delivering food and beverages to patrons in accordance with franchise and hospitality brand standards, contributing to the establishment's commitment to exceptional guest service and financial success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivers tailored service to every guest.
- Accurately prepares beverage orders following both franchise and company protocols.
- Manages cash register and financial transactions.
- Maintains precise cash records and balances cash drawers.
- Engages in regular communication with guests.
- Organizes and maintains the presentation of pastry and beverage displays to ensure an appealing and tidy appearance.
- Conducts daily inventory of food, drinks, and supplies.
- Restocks machines and dispensers as necessary.
- Prepares serving items, including trays, utensils, and disposable products.
- Cleans and clears tables promptly after guests depart.
- Addresses spills and maintains cleanliness.
- Disposes of waste appropriately.
- Restocks self-service areas as required.
- Responds to guest inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Sanitizes surfaces, floors, storage areas, utensils, and equipment as directed.
- Adheres to all franchise and company standards.
- Maintains punctuality and regular attendance, following designated work and break schedules.
- Exhibits high standards of personal grooming and appearance, complying with the dress code.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
MATH SKILLS
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to perform basic functions on computers and POS systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is primarily indoors with minimal noise levels.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for more than two-thirds of the time. Must be able to lift and exert force of up to 25 lbs.
