Key Responsibilities- Supervise nursing staff to ensure they are following resident care plans
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as needed
- Develop and implement resident care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Ensure all resident care rooms and treatment areas are clean and safe
- Monitor and maintain medicine supply rooms
- Pass out medications as needed
- Make rounds with physicians as requested
- Abide by all facility policies and procedures
- Conduct fire safety and disaster preparedness drills as required
- Complete accidents/incident reports as needed
- Nursing degree from an accredited school or college
- Valid RN license in good standing
- Valid CPR and BLS card
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter resident data
The Registered Nurse Supervisor may encounter frequent interruptions, work with residents, family, and government agencies, and be requested to work beyond scheduled hours. They may be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, or air contaminants, and may be subjected to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
Physical RequirementsThe Registered Nurse Supervisor must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, work throughout the nursing areas, and lift up to 25 pounds. Lifting more weight up to 100 pounds requires assistance.
