We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Care Nurse - UKHC Pavilion to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

This role involves working in a 12 bed progressive care unit located in Pavilion A, providing care for patients with a wide range of conditions, including head and neck cancers, ENT conditions, and reconstructive plastic surgery. The ideal candidate will have excellent critical thinking skills, basic computer navigation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care;
  • Delivering direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction, and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations;
  • Collaborating with the nursing staff and physicians to increase communication and enhance expected patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • A BSN degree;
  • At least 1 year of RN experience preferred;
  • Knowledge of Maslow's eight Basic Human Needs and Gordon's Functional Health Patterns Framework;
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with patients and their families, co-workers, and physicians;
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.

Estimated salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
