Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of project documents, including HVAC load calculations, HVAC & Plumbing system design, and project financial management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team of architects, engineers, and technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project documents, including construction documents, specifications, and reports
  • Conduct HVAC load calculations and design HVAC & Plumbing systems
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Collaborate with the Senior Project Engineer and/or Principal Engineer to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations
  • Work with industry vendors to source materials and equipment
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent work experience
  • 3-10 years of experience as a Professional Mechanical Engineer delivering mechanical design services on building projects in California
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit drafting and construction document development
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Current registration as a Mechanical Engineer (P.E.) in California or in another state with the ability to become licensed in California within 6 months of hire
