Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Training Program Recruiter to join our team at HireScale Talent. This role is responsible for identifying, attracting, and guiding the right candidates into our CDL training program, setting them up for a successful career in the trucking industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and engage candidates for the CDL training program, utilizing a combination of paid and organic recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate suitability based on compliance with safety standards and program requirements.
  • Perform background checks and review MVRs to ensure candidate eligibility.
  • Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System to reflect accurate candidate information and status.
  • Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to generate leads and improve candidate flow and conversion rates.
  • Manage candidate engagement throughout the hiring and post-offer process, providing a positive and professional experience.
  • Partner with training and operations teams to align recruitment efforts with hiring goals and class start dates.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the recruitment pipeline, continually seeking ways to improve candidate flow and conversion rates.
  • Interact with potential candidates through multiple channels, including phone, email, and website live chat.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on process improvements and candidate experiences.

  • Emotional Intelligence: Ability to listen, empathize, and communicate effectively with a diverse group of candidates.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Aptitude for identifying issues quickly, developing solutions, and making strategic changes to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Willingness to learn from mistakes, adapt to changing conditions, and persevere in the face of challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and persuasive communication abilities.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who works well with internal departments to ensure alignment on recruitment needs.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience working with ATS platforms, live chat, and other recruitment tools.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in recruiting, sales, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the trucking and logistics industry is a plus but not required.
