Job Summary

This is a temporary position for 10 months with possible extensions, supplementing the permanent workforce. The Therapeutic Program Worker will be scheduled for day, afternoon, and evening shifts, as well as weekends and holidays, with no guarantee of hours. The successful candidate may work 25-80 hours per 2-week pay period based on their availability and the needs of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Charting, documentation, records, and reporting
  • Organizing and conducting patient group activities
  • Transport of patients to off-site appointments
  • Participating in appropriate interventions

Requirements
  • Must be able to complete a 4-week full-time orientation
  • May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior
  • Training and development required to remain in the classification after employment
