Position Summary:

As a key player in our manufacturing process, you will be involved in chrome plating fully assembled automotive bumpers for major automotive manufacturers. We are looking for dedicated production associates who are eager to learn and possess a collaborative spirit. Success in this role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chrome Plating: You will be responsible for loading and unloading bumpers onto the chrome plating conveyor system. This involves securing bumpers for processing and ensuring a steady workflow to maintain production efficiency. Each bumper weighs approximately 25-30 lbs, and you will work either independently or alongside a partner.
  • Painting: In this role, you will hang bumpers on conveyor belts that pass through a painting machine. After the automated process, you will manually inspect and touch up any areas that require additional paint application. Attention to detail is crucial as you will also clean any excess paint from the bumpers. Each bumper weighs approximately 25-30 lbs, and you will work either independently or with a partner.
  • Final Packaging: This is the last step before bumpers are dispatched to clients. You will ensure that labels are correctly matched to the bumpers and packaging. Responsibilities include wrapping bumpers for protection, assembling boxes, labeling, and preparing pallets for shipment. Each bumper weighs about 25-30 lbs, and when boxed, they can weigh around 35-40 lbs. You will work independently or with a partner.

Additional Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors or team leads.

Qualifications:

  • Physical requirements include bending, standing, twisting, and lifting up to 30-40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a paint shop environment.
  • Willingness to work 8-10 hour shifts, including weekends as scheduled.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Compliance with management instructions.
  • Background check and drug screening required.
