Our current pediatric ophthalmology team consists of 3 optometrists and a highly active pediatric ophthalmologist, following the retirement of a senior specialist. This department serves a vast population, providing essential subspecialty services.
Practice Environment:
The successful candidate will be part of a comprehensive practice that includes subspecialists in retina, cornea, glaucoma, and oculoplastics. Our established referral relationships with pediatricians and other eye care professionals ensure a steady flow of patients.
Patient Volume:
Our pediatric eye department handles over 18,000 patient visits each year, with surgical cases exceeding 1,000 annually. All surgical procedures are conducted in our state-of-the-art ophthalmology-specific surgical center, equipped with the latest technology and staffed by a dedicated team.
Additional Responsibilities:
In addition to a robust surgical and clinical practice, the successful candidate will collaborate on local screenings and treatments for retinopathy of prematurity alongside other pediatric ophthalmologists and retina fellows.
