Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture client relationships to secure the complete appliance delivery portfolio.
  • Manage partnerships with Independent Contractors focusing on profitability and compliance.
  • Meet objectives outlined by the client and Hub Group Final Mile.
  • Develop staff capabilities and ensure accountability where applicable.
  • Continuously attract and retain Independent Contractors.
  • Oversee claims management processes with assistance from FOC.
  • Manage Profit and Loss (P&L) for controllable expenses.
  • Optimize delivery costs through effective routing and support expenses.
  • Control operating expenses including supplies, truck usage, and travel costs.
  • Oversee warehouse expenses, including contracted labor and inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage administrative costs such as hourly wages, office supplies, and recruitment expenses.
  • Achieve targeted location margin goals.
  • Evaluate rental car versus mileage reimbursement options.
  • Facilitate effective communication with the DIA, DIM, and client personnel.
  • Lead concise and informative daily stand-up meetings, documenting feedback for recaps.
  • Conduct weekly field observations with teams to ensure client satisfaction and training, documenting findings.
  • Perform showroom visits as necessary to strengthen client relationships.
  • Maintain inventory of totes and ensure accountability among business partners.
  • Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee loadout and warehouse quality control, ensuring teams are efficiently dispatched.
  • Actively monitor routing from the field as per standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure travel is pre-approved by the Area Manager and stays within budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct weekly operations meetings with the DIA to review outstanding invoices and address any issues or goals.
  • Hold business partner meetings as required to discuss claims, settlements, and compliance matters.
  • Engage in client and internal conference calls.
  • Provide weekly updates on location activities, including:
    • Weekly schedule
    • Summary of location performance
    • Recap of stand-up meetings
    • Summary of field observations
    • Update on aging invoices (if applicable)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Track record of achieving results.
  • Highly organized.
  • Possession of a college degree or equivalent experience.
