About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at CHSGa. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care to patients, including personal grooming and hygiene, to promote a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Support patients with care needs such as oral, denture, and skin care, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist patients with daily care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and bathroom assistance, to maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Transfer patients safely and efficiently, using proper body mechanics and equipment to prevent injury.
  • Take vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and respiration, and record information accurately and timely.
  • Assist patients with meals, including feeding and documenting intake, to ensure their nutritional needs are met.
  • Provide personal grooming services, such as brushing hair, trimming fingernails and toenails, and shaving, to promote patient comfort and dignity.
  • Turn patients intermittently to prevent pressure sores and promote circulation.
  • Document and report patient information, including health changes, I&O, and care provided, to ensure accurate and timely communication.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, as requested, to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  • Understand and utilize care plans to provide individualized patient care.
  • Identify and report signs of abuse and/or change in condition, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Practice proper body mechanics and use of equipment to prevent injury and promote patient safety.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the State of Georgia is required.
