Position Summary: As a Karate Instructor at Amazing Athletes Karate Zoo, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding karate lessons to preschool-aged children. Your karate expertise and ability to engage with young learners will help create a fun and productive educational setting. This is a part-time role, offering approximately 4-6 hours weekly, with a required availability on Mondays from 1-2 PM and a flexible schedule for the remainder of the hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and age-appropriate karate sessions for children aged 4-6 years.
  • Providing clear instructions on karate techniques and concepts.
  • Exhibiting a dynamic and enthusiastic teaching approach to motivate young participants.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during classes.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes confidence and discipline.
  • Implementing the curriculum provided by Amazing Athletes Karate Zoo.
  • Tracking and assessing student progress, offering feedback to parents or guardians.
  • Maintaining an organized and clean set of equipment (provided).
  • Demonstrating punctuality and reliability in attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Dependable: Arrives punctually for each session, manages groups of 10 or more children, maintains accurate attendance records, and communicates effectively with management regarding scheduling.
  • Professional: Presents a neat appearance, is friendly and courteous with daycare staff, directors, and parents, and displays self-confidence.
  • Enthusiastic: Enjoys engaging with young children (ages 4-6) and can connect with them on their level, making classes a highlight of their week. Must be outgoing and animated, capable of being playful with children. Previous experience with children is essential.
  • Karate Experience: A background in karate is required, preferably as an instructor.
  • Transportation: Must possess reliable transportation.
  • Equipment: Access to a computer or smart device for attendance and scheduling is necessary.
