About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Scientist to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for leading the development and deployment of cutting-edge machine learning models and solutions that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Science Solutions: Develop and implement scalable data science solutions that drive business outcomes and improve customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data engineers, data analysts, and application developers to build and deploy machine learning models and solutions.
  • Design and Implement MLOps Pipelines: Own the MLOps lifecycle, from data monitoring to refactoring data science code and building robust ML model lifecycle.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Demonstrate strong thought-leadership and consult with product and business stakeholders to build, scale, and deploy holistic machine learning solutions.
  • Guide Team Members: Guide team members in achieving MLOps-driven data science outcomes and handle multiple products and initiatives.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Follow industry best practices, stay up to date with, and extend the state of the art in machine learning research and practice.
Requirements
  • Engineering Mindset: Have an engineering mindset and exposure to software engineering principles, Agile methodologies, CICD, distributed systems, and implemented that in Machine Learning projects.
  • Machine Learning Experience: Have experience in NLP/NLU, Forecasting, and Anomaly detection DS solution development and deployment in real-world scenarios.
  • Technical Skills: Have strong knowledge of Machine Learning, MLOps, MLflow, Kubeflow, Python/R, SQL, Big Data, GCP, Shell scripting.
  • Infrastructure Experience: Experience in scaling infrastructure to support high-throughput data-intensive applications using PySpark/GPU.
  • Web Services Integration: Have worked on integrating ML models with web services.
