About the Role

The Patient Advocate is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support during their hospital stay. This role requires a unique blend of interpersonal skills, empathy, and technical knowledge to navigate complex healthcare systems and resolve patient concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and manage patient complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner
  • Work closely with healthcare teams to identify and address patient needs and concerns
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on healthcare-related issues
  • Collaborate with quality and safety teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Document all interactions and complaints in a secure and confidential manner
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field (e.g. healthcare administration, social work)
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient advocacy or similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
