The Acosta Group is seeking a highly skilled Sony Service Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Sony professional video equipment, including broadcast, ENG video cameras, and professional broadcast monitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, upgrade, and test new Sony products as required
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues using electronic testing equipment, including waveform signal monitors and oscilloscopes
Develop new concepts and approaches to resolve technical issues
Escalate issues when physical repair is deemed necessary
Provide phone and virtual product support to key strategic accounts
Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent with an emphasis in electronics, electrical engineering, broadcast engineering, and/or systems preferred
Minimum 5-8 years of experience with hands-on repair and service of broadcast electronic equipment, displays, and monitors
Proven work experience in a broadcast system environment
Experience utilizing electronic testing equipment, including waveform signal monitors and oscilloscopes
Proficient knowledge of digital and analog circuitry and ability to read schematics
Strong communication and presentation skills
Organizational, time management, and decision-making skills are needed for this role
