Ride Control Systems Technician

Job Description:

As a Ride Control Systems Electrician at Carowinds, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ride control systems. This includes conducting routine inspections, ordering parts as needed, and maintaining and repairing ride control systems according to manufacturer, Cedar Fair, and state guidelines.

You will also be responsible for performing upgrades and modifications to existing ride control systems, coordinating with other departments, and working with outside contractors as needed. Additionally, you will maintain accurate documentation of ride control systems and attend trainings and meetings to stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Excellent guest service and maintaining a clean work area are also essential responsibilities of this role. You will be required to meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related electrical maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with control processors and communication networks used in real-time industrial applications
  • PLC programming and configuration skills
  • Ability to climb and work at heights up to 330 feet
  • Valid driver's license
