Key Responsibilities- Communication Systems Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on communication equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to lower-level technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance personnel, ensuring they are equipped to handle complex technical issues.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures and standards, and that all work is properly documented and recorded.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other maintenance personnel, supervisors, and management to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with formal classroom education equivalent to Navy 'C' School or vocational school in electronic equipment maintenance.
- Experience: Five years of electronic maintenance experience in five or more of the following areas: digital/analog signal processing, communications, PC computer systems, DC power supplies, test equipment, optical equipment, RF signal processing, antennas, low voltage AC equipment, primary and secondary power equipment, auto-transfer (UPS) equipment.
- Certifications: Must meet the DOD 8570 certifications and requirements for IAT Level 1.
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a fully adjudicated secret clearance.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well in a team environment, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
