Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Site Lead to join our team at the California Teaching Fellows Foundation. As a key member of our after-school program team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our youth development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Site Lead in coordinating and implementing after-school programs for youth, including designing and developing marketing materials and incentive programs.
  • Provide a safe and healthy learning environment for youth, maintaining safe practices and procedures conducive to maximizing learning.
  • Assist with the monitoring and determination of student placement, as well as the enforcement of behavioral standards and rules.
  • Communicate with parents and school administrative personnel regarding student conduct and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with the Site Lead to ensure the effectiveness of assigned programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Lead, including temporarily assuming the duties of the Site Lead in their absence.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of 48 college units or passage of an approved exam to meet NCLB requirements
  • Proficiency in English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition
  • General understanding of educational standards and the public school system
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and Tuberculosis exam
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of college education with emphasis in education
  • Strong commitment to serving local communities through mentoring, leading after-school educational programs for youth, and experience in youth development and community service
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
