Penn State University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Manufacturing Technologist to support the development of new concepts, equipment, and processes. This role plays a critical part in bridging the skills gap, enhancing workforce competencies, and driving innovation in manufacturing processes through Digital Foundry programming provided to regional workforce and manufacturing businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Industry Project Support: Collaborate with the Digital Foundry team and industry partners to understand relevant technologies and processes and assist with development, deployment, and maintenance of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training curricula for CNC machining, robotics operation, automation systems, and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Instruction and Workforce Training: Deliver engaging and effective training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to workforce participants.
