We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer/Civil Engineer to join our Mining Design and Technical Services group in Denver, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing EOR services for tailings and heap leach projects in the USA and internationally.
  • Conduct geotechnical site assessments and associated field services for mining infrastructure development.
  • Develop soil and foundation recommendations for surface infrastructure.
  • Perform stability and deformation analyses for mining infrastructure, including tailings storage facilities and heap leach pads.
  • Assist with tailings dam breach evaluations.
  • Work with and provide training to junior engineers.
  • Assist with generating design drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D.
Requirements
  • Master of Science (preferred); Bachelor of Science (considered) in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 0+ years of professional experience for an entry-level position.
  • Significant experience with MS Office Suite and standard geotechnical design software.
  • Proficient with standard material testing and index tests.
  • Successful completion of FE Exam.
  • Ability to travel in the U.S. and internationally to support field programs.
Physical Demands

The position may require sitting for extended periods, extended hours working on a computer, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Field assignments may require standing, squatting, bending, and using machinery and standard geotechnical tools.

Technical Writing

Proficiency in technical writing is expected.
