Teppan Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Teppan Chef to join our team at Benihana | Tennessee. As a Teppan Chef, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by preparing and cooking high-quality Japanese cuisine on our hibachi grills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables, using a range of kitchen equipment and techniques.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and welcoming guests, responding to their requests, and ensuring their dining experience is memorable.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to Benihana's high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Participate in shift opening and closing duties, including cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and efficient food preparation.
• Stay up-to-date with Benihana's menu offerings, recipes, and cooking procedures to provide the highest quality dishes to our guests.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a chef or cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
