We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulance Service Coordinator to join our team at UNC Health Southeastern.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to combine their dispatching skills with their EMT expertise, working closely with our Critical Care Transport Manager, Medical Director, and Director of Emergency Services.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent customer service abilities and proficiency in keyboard and basic computer applications. They will also be certified as an EMT in North Carolina and have a good driving record, preferably with one year of field experience.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Receive incoming ambulance call reports for the emergency department and schedule transports for hospital-owned ambulances.
  • Schedule transports for patients being discharged from UNC Health Southeastern requiring ambulance transportation.
  • Coordinate referrals and transfers to UNC Health Southeastern, connecting appropriate departments and arranging transportation.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma and completion of an approved EMT program with current certification in North Carolina.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively present information to colleagues, supervisors, and administrators.

**Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. If functioning as an EMT with Hospital owned ambulance service incumbent must be 25 years old with a good driving record.
