As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will engage with complex patient medical histories, cutting-edge surgical techniques, pain management strategies, and comprehensive nutritional care. Your core responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care in alignment with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Observes, documents, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate.
- Evaluates, updates, and revises care plans to ensure achievement of expected outcomes.
- Acts as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in patient care.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
- Executes physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Evaluates educational needs of patients and significant others, considering cultural and special concerns.
- Provides educational materials and teaching as necessary.
- Validates and documents patient and family understanding of educational content.
- Engages in ongoing professional development through formal and informal education and clinical study.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire.
- For Critical Care areas, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA must be obtained upon hire or within the first year of employment.
- RNs in specific units must achieve and maintain relevant certifications within designated timeframes.
Work Complexity:
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to function in a high-stress environment and respond appropriately.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required for acute care roles.
- Relevant experience in skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation settings may also be considered.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Involves exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.

- Adheres to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
