Job Summary and QualificationsIn this role, you will:
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments regarding patient health status, adhering to care standards and disease-specific protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
- Deliver direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and established policies.
- Provide education and emotional support tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstance, integrating patient/family teaching into all nursing practices.
Specialized Care
You may also provide specialized care, including chemotherapy/biotherapy administration and management, in accordance with investigational protocols.
Qualifications:Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Compact license accepted. BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting within the last three years is required. Oncology experience is highly preferred.
ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date. Associate Degree is required.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
