Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Allergy Immunotherapy Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting with the preparation and administration of allergy immunotherapy treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and mix allergy immunotherapy extracts with meticulous attention to sterile technique and protocols.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical histories.
  • Administer allergy injections accurately and safely according to established treatment plans.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education, instruction, and support regarding their treatment plans.
  • Offer telephone support to patients, staff, and other provider offices regarding allergy immunotherapy treatments.
  • Maintain accurate immunotherapy logs and records.
  • Coordinate the delivery and mailing of allergy vaccines to outlying and other provider offices.
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience by greeting patients warmly and creating a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, Lab Technician, Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on clear communication and active listening.
  • A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, dedicated to providing patient-centered care.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
