Playcenter Attendant

At the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, we're seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Playcenter Attendant. This role is a vital part of our mission to provide high-quality childcare and youth development programs to our community.

The Playcenter Attendant will provide care and supervision to children aged three months to twelve years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. This role requires a strong commitment to child development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Provide high-quality childcare and supervision to children in the Playcenter
• Lead activities and games that promote physical and cognitive development
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's needs and progress
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies

• Must be at least 16 years of age and have experience working with youth in a structured setting
• Complete all required trainings prior to start, including CPR certification within the first 30 days of employment
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
