Experienced Project Leader in HVAC Systems

Diamond Peak Recruiting is in search of a highly skilled Project Leader specializing in HVAC systems to manage and direct intricate commercial and industrial projects. The successful candidate will take charge of all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Direct and oversee multiple HVAC systems projects concurrently, from initial planning through to project completion.
  • Create and uphold project timelines, financial plans, and resource allocations.
  • Guarantee that all project goals are achieved, with projects delivered on schedule, within defined scope, and under budget.

Strategic Development & Implementation:

  • Collaborate with upper management to formulate project strategies and objectives.
  • Lead project planning initiatives, including cost estimation, procurement processes, and risk assessment.
  • Spot opportunities for process enhancements and apply best practices to boost project outcomes.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise project teams, including project leaders, engineers, site managers, and subcontractors.
  • Guide and nurture junior project management personnel, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.
  • Ensure all team members are aligned with project objectives and organizational standards.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Facilitate effective communication among clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage client expectations and promptly address any issues or changes that arise.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Conduct regular site evaluations and inspections to assess progress and quality.
  • Implement and uphold safety measures to guarantee a secure working environment for all personnel.

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor and manage project financials, ensuring fiscal targets are met.
  • Review and authorize project-related invoices, change orders, and procurement requests.
  • Prepare regular financial summaries and forecasts for senior leadership.

Problem Resolution & Risk Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Address project-related challenges and conflicts, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines.
  • Lead post-project evaluations to capture insights and implement improvements for future initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in project management, particularly in HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale commercial or industrial projects from inception to completion.
