About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Pet Care Specialist at PetSuites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our furry guests, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Care: Ensure that each guest is treated with respect and dignity, and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Food and Water Management: Ensure that all guests receive appropriate amounts of food and water, and that food and water bowls are cleaned and sanitized daily.
  • Facility Maintenance: Clean up dog poop, urination, and any vomit several times throughout your shift, and maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following our standards of cleaning and disinfecting rooms.
  • Exercise and Play: Walk dogs on leash to and from outside exercise areas, and engage in play activities with pets, including fetch, exercise walks, chase, agility, follow the leader, recall, and basic obedience games.
  • Conflict Resolution: Monitor closely for any potential conflicts or escalations and redirect or remove one or more dogs from the situation as needed.
  • Documentation: Monitor guest's health by daily charting of eating and elimination habits, and document any issues or concerns.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the resort.
Requirements
  • Animal Experience: A passion for animals and animal care, especially dogs and cats, and a willingness to learn animal behavior to ensure their safety.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to take care of customers' needs while following company procedures.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate directly with clients, both written and orally, about their dog.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
