Position Overview
Victoria College is seeking a dedicated part-time Technology Educator to join our Workforce & Continuing Education Department at the Victoria Campus on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver engaging instruction to students in a conducive learning environment.
- Utilize available resources effectively to enhance the educational experience.
- Maintain accurate course documentation, including attendance records, student assessments, and completion certificates.
- Collaborate with Workforce & CE staff to ensure smooth operational processes.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Workforce & Continuing Education.
Essential
- Associate degree or five years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to engage positively with college staff and students.
- Maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet program needs.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.
- Experience in teaching or training at the college level.
In performing the duties of this position, the employee will frequently use hands and fingers for tasks such as operating controls and keypads. The role requires sitting, standing, and walking, as well as the ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds for tasks such as handling office supplies. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus between documents and computer screens. Hearing ability for light to moderate sounds is necessary, and the typical noise level in the work environment is moderate.
