We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures and provide diagnostic aid by using fluoroscopic equipment to conduct scans on patients according to established practices and standards.
- Prepare equipment, monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area.
- Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner, explaining all procedures to the patient and performing physical assessments.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously.
- Maintain sterile technique during Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Review scans for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS in a timely manner.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Ability to perform Interventional Procedures.
- Effective communication and management skills within a service line environment.
- Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
