Job Summary
Medical Staffing Solutions, USA is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in the USA. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for radiologic procedures, protecting them from radiation hazards, and taking X-rays following established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and protects them from radiation hazards
• Takes X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Selects proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis and adjusts radiographic controls
• Positions patients and takes X-rays of specific parts of the body as requested by physicians
• Checks X-rays for clarity of image and retakes when needed
• Receives patients, explains procedures, and verifies patient information
• Selects and sets technical factors using established criteria and makes exposures necessary for procedures
• Takes films/images to daylight processor for processing and edits film/images for quality and positioning
• Maintains records of patients treated, examinations performed, and settings used
• Performs routine examinations under the technical or professional direction of a Radiologist
• Checks equipment for working conditions and notifies the physician and/or technical supervisor of any equipment problems
• Assures infection control standards are followed and maintains a clean and safe environment
• Provides courteous customer service skills towards patients, visitors, and staff
• Notifies supervisory technologist of absence of coverage and remains on duty until relief arrives
Requirements
• Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in radiologic technology; ARRT certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
