  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Platform team to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of data engineering and platform development.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) related to data security and privacy.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Implement and manage security monitoring tools to detect and respond to security events. Provide regular reports on security status and incidents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies. Continuously improve security processes and practices.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of data encryption, access control, and security protocols. Experience with Databricks and other big data platforms. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or Scala.
  • Cloud Security: Familiarity with cloud security best practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies like Spark are highly desirable.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Experience with HIPAA and other regulatory compliance is desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A master or higher degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security engineering, with a focus on securing data platforms and infrastructure.
