A medical director position has become available at Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital. As a seasoned nurse leader, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and staff alike.

About Us:

Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital that provides comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to patients throughout their recovery journey. Our rehabilitation programs cater to individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Responsibilities:

As a medical director, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the nursing department operates efficiently, prioritizing patient safety, and reducing medical errors. You will be responsible for monitoring documentation, including medical necessity, and communicating this information to the nursing department. Additionally, you will assist in reviewing and evaluating risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes to continually improve performance and outcomes.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent, with current unrestricted state licensure as a Registered Nurse. You should also possess CPR/BCLS certification and ACLS certification is preferred. A minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership experience and two years of previous rehab nursing experience are required. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
