Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team at Center Point, Inc.

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for handling payroll administration tasks including timekeeping record auditing, payroll reporting, and employee benefits enrollment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll principles, procedures, and practices, as well as experience in maintaining complex automated payroll systems.

Responsibilities
  • Auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards and maintaining accurate time and attendance records
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of payroll reporting from the payroll system to create ad-hoc reports on demand
  • Preparing and processing semi-monthly payroll, generating paychecks and direct deposits, and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing
  • Facilitating employee benefits enrollment and reviewing payroll status change forms and other employee deduction and contribution forms for completeness and accuracy
  • Performing complex retroactive pay calculations and applying adjustments, analyzing various payroll reports for accuracy, and making corrections as needed
  • Assisting in the preparation and reconciliation of annual W-2 forms, preparing spreadsheets to track PTO and sick leave time allocation disbursements, and receiving and reconciling monthly insurance invoices
  • Tracking employee leaves related to FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and Military leave, and assisting employees with various questions and requests for information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Administration, Business Management, or Accounting, preferred (two years of experience may substitute for each year of education)
  • Minimum two years' payroll administration experience for 100+ employees, or three+ years' experience if no degree
  • Knowledge of payroll principles, procedures, and practices, including experience in maintaining complex automated payroll systems
  • Basic skills in business math, intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, or database programs, and demonstrated success in collaborating with others

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
