Position Overview

The selected candidate will serve as a consultant, providing expert advice to project teams regarding the design of cloud-based infrastructures for applications and the transition from legacy systems to cloud environments.

Important Note:

**This position mandates an existing NSA Top Secret Clearance and Polygraph**

Technological Expertise: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Cloud Architecture Frameworks, Cloud Storage Solutions, Familiarity with Data Storage Technologies (RDS, DynamoDB, AWS S3, or Azure Storage)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the current IT landscape of clients, pinpointing challenges and opportunities for enhancement, and considerations for designing a Cloud-based IT framework.
  • Offer comprehensive cloud strategy and recommendations tailored to specific requirements throughout the entire cloud service lifecycle.
  • Review user requirements, operational concepts, and high-level system architectures to create system requirements specifications.
  • Examine system requirements and spearhead design and development initiatives. Assist users in defining requirements, suggest alternative solutions, and conduct feasibility assessments.
  • Provide technical direction for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, ensuring new plans and systems are seamlessly incorporated into ongoing operations.
  • Generate technical documentation and develop system architecture and design documentation.
  • Facilitate system development and implementation planning through the preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and testing plans.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding technical considerations in Systems Engineering and related challenges.
  • Hold ultimate accountability for the technical integrity of deliverables within the Systems Engineering domain.
  • Maintain communication with program personnel, government stakeholders, and senior management.
Required Experience:
  • Citizenship: Must Be a US Citizen
  • Existing Clearance Required: Active Top Secret SCI with Poly
  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is essential.
  • Proven experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering initiatives is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
