Alabama Goodwill Industries is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Merchandise Pricing Specialist. This part-time position offers flexible hours at a competitive rate of $15/hr.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both donors and shoppers.
  • Sort incoming donations into categories: sellable, salvage, and waste, ensuring non-salable items are appropriately disposed of.
  • Price items accurately using our established pricing guidelines, including special pricing for unique or high-value items.
  • Stay informed about current merchandise trends, brand values, and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pricing area to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in transporting merchandise to the sales floor, stocking shelves, and rotating inventory as per company policy.
  • Manage waste disposal by transporting trash to the compactor and operating it as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols, promptly reporting any hazards or injuries.
  • Ensure effective processing and stewardship of donations.
  • Consistently meet production goals while maintaining a steady workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of antiques and collectibles is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.

Additional Information:

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
