All aides must exhibit proficiency in the required skills and adhere strictly to the care plan established for each client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts household management duties such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and running errands.
- Prepares and serves simple dietary meals as directed and assists clients with eating when necessary.
- Provides assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal grooming.
- Supports clients with toileting needs, including the use of bedpans, commodes, or toilets.
- Facilitates client mobility and transfers, utilizing assistive devices like canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
- Administers medications as outlined in the care plan.
- Offers routine skin care and may assist clients in applying non-prescription topical treatments.
- Guides clients in maintaining their exercise routines.
- Completes additional tasks as assigned within the scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Home Health Aide Certificate or equivalent training.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Ability to read and write in English; bilingual candidates (Spanish) are preferred.
- Access to a phone or means of daily communication with the office.
- Timeliness in arriving at scheduled appointments is essential.
- Some positions may require a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Capability to follow the established care plan accurately.
- Proof of immunization for Rubella and Rubeola or titer results is necessary.
- Documentation of PPD test results within one year of employment.
- A physical examination confirming the ability to work without restrictions, completed within one year of employment.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, families, and team members.
Educational Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is required.

- Mental demands: The position requires performing tasks under the guidance of a registered nurse, necessitating adherence to specific procedures and standards with a high level of accuracy in monitoring and reporting.
