Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead our highway design projects in New Jersey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading projects, developing comprehensive contract documents, and providing expert technical guidance to engineers and technical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead highway design projects and develop comprehensive contract documents.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with project managers and the unit manager to define project scopes.
  • Where required, operate as Deputy Project Manager in support of Project Management team, providing insight into progress for client groups.
  • Create detailed production work plans and schedules.
  • Develop precise contract specifications and bid estimates.
  • Implement robust Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the highest codes and standards.
  • Train and mentor staff, fostering growth and excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Significant, demonstrable experience in Highway Design.
  • PE license is required (New Jersey license preferred).
  • Proficiency in MicroStation & InRoads is required.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Acrobat/Bluebeam, 3D Modeling, and other engineering software.
  • Experience working in collaboration with New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and/or New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) is strongly preferred.
